“Frito-Lay is being sued by a Massachusetts woman for allegedly deceptively marketing its “Light” potato chips. Those chips are made with olestra, a fat substitute that sometimes causes diarrhea, stomach cramps, dizziness, vomiting and other symptoms. She is asking the court to order Frito-Lay to require labels on Light chips warning consumers about the possible adverse reactions. (Denice’s note: Can you imagine the marketing campaign on that one? Far Infrared

In the 1960’s NASA discovered mineral compounds that were able to generate far infrared waves. Businesses world-wide jumped at the opportunity to produce a wide variety of products using these new fiber compounds. I use many of these products for my own health such as FIR comforters, knee and wrist wraps, and one of my favorite kitchen gadgets, a FIR ceramic thawing plate.
