List of Antacids

An antacid is defined as a drug or dietary substance that buffers, neutralizes or absorbs hydrochloric acid in the stomach. Antacids may contain aluminum, calcium or magnesium. Note: It is dangerous to use Baking Soda as an antacid and alkalizing agent. One can easily overdose causing hypertension and possible stroke because it messes with your electrolytes. (Yes, even baking soda toothpastes can do this to some extent.)
