One of my most favorite and gifted healer friends, Dr. Randy Robirds, was just elected president of this new company. They have been working on the development of this product for a very long time. It is made from Chicory and is used in the same proportions as sugar. It does not cause blood sugar levels to fluctuate, so is safe for all of you Type II diabetics. The following information was taken verbatim off the Just Like Sugar www.justlikesugarinc.com website:

Case of the Month: Cold and Flu Season is here!

We are dealing with lots of colds/flu/sinus congestion this month. THIS YEAR what seems to be working is Vitamin C (lots of it in the form of citrus fruit), Vitamin A (in the form of orange fruits and vegetables. The herbs—Parsley, Sage Rosemary and Thyme are medicinal herbs that also kill off viruses and bacteria. And Bacterial System Immune Stimulator drops. Most of the colds appear to be mostly bacterial in origin and having to do with some kind of Streptococcus.

Professional Complementary Health Formulations (one of the companies that I most often use for homeopathics) has just come out with some new formulas: Flu Nosode, Bird Flu H5N1 Nosode, and Pneumonia Nosode. If the products above don’t whip you into shape, these products will.

What’s New on the Website?

It has been a busy month for me and the website. My husband, Michael, did readings for all the local political candidates and posted them onto a page on the site. The election passed, many of the pictures were removed, but the winners of the elections still have their readings posted. If you’d like to see what Michael is up to, go to: /Coaching%20Corner/Face%20Reading.htm

I also had help completing my newsletter sign up box. It’s on the home page now. This month’s newsletter is going out via an auto responder, which is really freaking me out…that is why the newsletter is so late this month! This is all new for me. My other newsletter I do for the Miracle Mastery group also went out on a DIFFERENT auto responder this month. So much to learn and know…it sometimes is overwhelming. I’m holding up better than can be expected though.

I submitted 16 different articles to www.ezinearticles.com this month.

One of the marketing techniques I am learning is that I need to have other people link to my website. These are articles that people can use (with my byline in them,) so that this linking process will occur over time. Here’s a link to my webpage that has summaries of those articles: /Media%20Reviews/media_reviews1.htm

I finally allowed myself some time to add many of my favorite cartoons throughout the website that I have saved in a file for years. Added an inspirational story about a firefighter who saved a Doberman and updated health in the news. Did you know that you are not supposed to put a period after a link? It may inactivate it. For my editorial eyes, this is difficult to do, but the one thing certain about life is change, so I’ll do that from now on.

Recipe of the Month:

This recipe is to support all of you who wear their shoes out on the outside edge (which is a sign of kidney meridian imbalances.) Beans support the kidneys and help the body to overcome feelings of fear, dread, doubt, miffed, timidity, and wishy-washiness.

Black Bean Burgers with Corn Salsa

Modified from Organic Style Magazine June 2005 issue

Tastes great, but they kind of fall apart as you eat them. Well, maybe I didn’t chill them like the recipe called for, but the leftover burgers that were chilled also fell apart. What can I say? Nothing is as good as beef! You can use any type of bean.

Preparation time 25 minutes   Total Time 1 hr. 50 minutes (includes 1 hr. of chill time)

Makes four 3 ½ inch burgers (they could actually be made into 6 smaller burgers)

Black Bean Burgers

  • 1/3 cup coarsely chopped onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 ½ cups canned black beans (or black soybeans), rinsed and drained
  • ¾  cup coarse dried bread crumbs (I use Old London unseasoned)
  • ½  cup chopped fresh cilantro leaves
  • ½ cup chopped fresh parsley leaves
  • ¾ cup almonds, pine nuts, or almonds toasted and finely chopped
  • Celtic Sea Salt
  • Dash of Frank’s Red Hot Sauce
  • 1 large egg, beaten

 Corn Salsa

  • 1 cup Corn kernel, fresh off the cob or frozen-thawed
  • ½ cup seeded and diced Tomatoes
  • 1 Scallion, chopped
  • 1 ½ tablespoons chopped fresh Cilantro
  • 1 ½ tablespoons chopped fresh Parsley
  • 1 teaspoon Frank’s Red Hot Sauce
  • 1 tablespoon fresh Lime juice

Guacamole

  • 2 small Hass Avocados
  • 1 tablespoon fresh Lime juice
  • 2 tablespoons Sour Cream
  • Celtic Sea Salt and
  • Frank’s Red Hot Sauce to taste

Leave the pit in the center of the guacamole and the leftover guacamole won’t turn brown.

  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil
  • 4 English Muffins

In a food processor, place onion, garlic, and cumin. Pulse until coarsely chopped. Add beans, bread crumbs and cilantro; pulse until just combined but not pureed. Transfer mixture to a bowl; stir in nuts. Season this mixture with salt and Frank’s Red Hot Sauce. Fold in egg and stir until combined. Form into four 3 ½ inch patties. I separate the patties with waxed paper. Chill patties, covered at least 1 hour, and up to 1 day.

Next, in a small bowl, stir together salsa ingredients. Add salt to taste. Set aside. Peel, pit, and mash avocados in a medium bowl with sour cream, juice and salt and Frank’s Red Hot Sauce to taste. Put the pit in the center and cover with plastic wrap to seal air out. Set aside.

In a large skillet, heat oil over medium heat until hot; cook patties until light brown in the olive oil, 4-6 minutes on each side on Medium heat. Toast muffins. Place a spoonful of guacamole on muffin bottom; add a burger, some salsa, a muffin top, and serve.

Ask Dr. Moffat:

Question: Could you please tell me how you will do a muscle test by knowing my child’s names without having them there?  Thank you!  Kayla

Answer: There are many variations to this common question. Often I answer with, “When you pray, do you have to touch someone physically to get it to work?” I’m not trying to be sarcastic. Using a gift, like muscle testing, is much like prayer. What I do is tap into the energy field (after getting permission orally or via the higher self) and with intention (which I believe is most of healing anyway,) I am able to ask how what the body needs and how much it needs. Personally, I believe we all have the power to do this if we listen to the Still Small Voice within, but I believe it’s a personal gift of mine. I’m attaching my muscle testing handout, as there are many trick and tips to keep in mind when muscle-testing. Here’s that link: /Basics%20of%20Health/muscle_testing.htm

Have you ever heard of Edgar Cayce? Also know as the sleeping prophet, he performed readings while under a trance.  His clients, offspring, former employees and people affected by his work, while he was still alive, have built an entire facility surrounding his work called the Association for Research and Enlightenment (ARE.) www.edgarcayce.org

Edgar’s clients would write in and tell him where they would be at the time of their appointed exam. On that day, Edgar would go into a trance and have his secretary take notes on what he said in that state. Edgar would find the client and their energy, and do the exam. Sometimes the client would forget and be somewhere else, but Edgar would always locate them. Fascinating stuff.

At one point in his career, in a trance, the concept of reincarnation came up. As he was reading the transcription, he read about that concept for the first time, freaked out, and stopped helping people for over a year. Edgar was a devout Christian and read the bible in its entirety every year since early childhood. He also had weekly bible studies in his home throughout his entire life. After a time of searching and contemplation, he finally went back into practice. So many people were in demand of his services, that he eventually worked himself to death.

Product of the Month: Pretty Feet & Hands

I’ve noticed that many people are having challenges with dry skin right now. It’s time to increase those hot fluids, up your unsaturated fats a bit, and if that doesn’t work, purchase a bottle of one of my favorite products from your local Rite Aid Store—Pretty Feet & Hands Rough Skin Remover.

This stuff is awesome (It’s not organic but it works great). Shake well before using. Pour about a quarter’s worth of fluid into the palm of one hand, then rub the areas that have lots of dry skin on them. The dry skin balls up in your hand. Rinse the areas and apply lotion. Note: You can only do this process once a day. The product doesn’t work after the area is wet or after a shower. It may take up to four days for those tough areas like the feet to make the skin like new. The product appears to be safe and does not cause allergic reactions. One 3-ounce bottle usually runs around $10.

Media Reviews: Dressed to Kill (How wearing a bra causes cancer)

Breast cancer is a cultural phenomenon. The incidence of breast cancer is dramatically increased only in cultures that wear them.

The author’s of Dressed to Kill examined the habits of 4700 American women, nearly half of whom had breast cancer, before writing their book. They found that wearing a bra more than 12 hours a day dramatically increased the incidence of breast cancer, cystic breasts (also known as tight-bra syndrome), breast pain, breast tenderness and other breast issues. Women who wear bras 18-24 hours/day have over 100 times greater incidence of breast cancer than those who go bra-less. Basically you are 3-4 times more likely to get breast cancer from wearing a bra, than lung cancer by smoking cigarettes!

Bras create constant pressure, compress, and constrict lymphatic movement to the chest area. If you are a woman who wears a bra and see red marks and lines after taking your bra off, your are at a greater risk for breast cancer.

The role of lymph is to flush out toxins and debris from tissues. If this flow is impaired, tissues get toxic. We also impair toxin release by using underarm deodorants as they plug up and block our pores.

One interesting study done in the UK in the year 2000 followed 100 women with fibrocystic breast disease. These women went bra-free for three months. The results were astounding showing how effective this one treatment was in overcoming this particular health challenge.

What to do if you MUST wear a bra:

  1. Make sure the bra has a loose fit. Remove it when it is not necessary to wear it.
  2. Choose a bra with no under wires. These wires block the energy meridians from moving freely through their natural cycles.
  3. Use a larger size bra around your menstrual time as increased estrogen causes tissues to retain fluids making the breasts larger and the bra tighter.
  4. Discontinue use of deodorizer/antiperspirants. Wash your armpits with soap and water often instead.
  5. Bathe daily. The body releases 30% o all the toxins it produces through the skin.
  6. Use a shower filter that filters out chlorine. Chlorine also causes several forms of cancer. As you shower, your skin and lungs are absorbing huge amounts of chlorine.
  7. Occasionally incorporate Poke Root tincture into your diet to help the lymph flow easier (especially if you have little white dots around the outside of your irises. This is known as a Lymphatic Rosary and is a signed of a slow or sludging lymphatic system.)
  8. Sleep naked or in a stretchy T-shirt. Women who wear cotton or nylon non-stretchable materials while they sleep who roll over often can cut circulation off as these materials resist stretching.

What’s New at Our House

Mostly it has just been a busy month trying to keep up. We have about 14 inches of snow right now, so Michael is going out twice a day to keep the walks passable for the clients. The roads are pretty bad, but I’ve been doing OK driving (unlike my younger inexperienced days when I had to beg for 2-for-1 repairs on the front left fender!)

I’ve been working extra days down at our local Animal Shelter www.lcshelter.com neutering animals. Last week I performed about 50 surgeries in two days. Had one fantastic puppy come through that was an obvious Seizure Alert Dog without even being trained. I tried to find a special home for him and succeeded. He was adopted by a priest and will be spending his life at a Boy’s Home. I guess that’s a pretty good match.

It’s still not too late to order your copy of I Am a Miracle. Just go to our website: www.IAmAMiracle.com and place your order. I should get to you by Christmas. I also have some promotional CD’s of the CD included in the back of the book. If you know of someone in your church that orders the music, let me know and I’ll mail them a copy.

That’s a wrap for this month. Now…if I can set it into the new format and jump into the fear of sending it out with the new method! See you all next month!  Denice
