I’ve been seeing a lot of gall bladder challenges this month (it’s the season with all the high-fat foods.) Let’s review the signs/symptoms of a gall bladder imbalance: Anorexia or bulimia, Belching. Bloating, Chest pain, Constipation, Dizziness, Enlarged abdomen, Gas and indigestion, Hiccoughs, Intestinal pain, Loose bowels, Nausea even at the thought of eating high fat foods, Nightmares, Pain on the right side of the lower rib cage, Pain under the right scapula (shoulder blade), and Skipping heart beats. Now, Wayne had a two-pack a day microwaved popcorn habit and had been eating it for many years. “How did you know that about me?” Wayne asked. Wayne pantomimed how he would open the bag at chest level, look down and breathe in the fumes each time he ate popcorn. Apparently, popcorn flavoring contains the chemical diacetyl, which has been linked to lung damage in workers inhaling its fumes in food manufacturing plants.

How do you get worms? We pick up worms from some of the things we eat, from the dirt, and from the dust we breathe in. Craving dirt and eating dirt is a sign of iron deficiency. We should talk if you are doing that. . . I got pin worms when I was a little girl by eating a mud pie (my friend said she’d give me a nickel if I did it!)

It’s common to see thick tongues, purplish tongues, tongues with teeth marks in them and tongues with cracks in various places. I also have noted tongues with coats both white and yellow, sticky and thin coats. A few of my clients have what is called Geographic tongue. But what do they mean?

Rescue Remedy was developed over 60 years ago by Dr. Edward Bach and is one of my favorite products for emotional and psychological stress, emergencies and for working through the process of grieving. I put some of this into the special formula I take to the animal shelter for the new cats coming in. We put a few drops into their water the week before they are introduced into the cat room to help them feel more comfortable with the other cats.

This month I had two cases of possible homeopathic provings (the last time I had one of these was 10 years ago, so I figured I was supposed to talk about this.) A homeopathic proving is defined as a substance at a particular dosage which causes the same symptoms as what we are trying to eliminate from the body.
