Poisonous Plants for Pets

While in some cases, just parts of the plant (bark, leaves, seeds, berries, roots, tubers, sprouts, green shells) might be poisonous; this list rules the whole plant out. If you must have any of them, keep them safely out of reach. Should the dog or cat eat part of a poisonous plant, rush the dog or cat to the veterinarian as soon as possible or call your local poison control center. If available, take the plant to the veterinarian for ease of identification.
