How do you choose the best fruit possible? For watermelons, do the thump test. Those that thump deep are a good bet, but if you REALLY want the sweetest choice look for insect damage. Bees will smell the sugar and try to get to it. You will notice bite markings on the rind. These are the sweetest watermelons (and it works every time!)

“Frito-Lay is being sued by a Massachusetts woman for allegedly deceptively marketing its “Light” potato chips. Those chips are made with olestra, a fat substitute that sometimes causes diarrhea, stomach cramps, dizziness, vomiting and other symptoms. She is asking the court to order Frito-Lay to require labels on Light chips warning consumers about the possible adverse reactions. (Denice’s note: Can you imagine the marketing campaign on that one? What a crack up.)
