I’m always looking for tithing projects to invest in where the money I give makes a huge difference by somehow reproducing itself many times.
Do you know of other organizations that “teach people how to fish” instead of just asking for money over and over and coming up short every year? Do you have a favorite book that talks about an organization that does great works for the world? If so, I’d like to know about them. I’m looking for self-sustaining foundations and Pay it Forward type of projects for this web page.
Locks of Love: https://www.locksoflove.org/ Locks of Love is a public non-profit organization that provides hairpieces to financially disadvantaged children under age 21 suffering from long-term medical hair loss from any diagnosis. We meet a unique need for children by using donated hair to create the highest quality hair prosthetics. Locks of Love’s Mission is to return a sense of self, confidence and normalcy to children suffering from hair loss by utilizing donated ponytails to provide the highest quality hair prosthetics to financially disadvantaged children. The children receive hair prostheses free of charge or on a sliding scale, based on financial need.
