While in some cases, just parts of the plant (bark, leaves, seeds, berries, roots, tubers, sprouts, green shells) might be poisonous; this list rules the whole plant out. If you must have any of them, keep them safely out of reach. Should the dog or cat eat part of a poisonous plant, rush the dog or cat to the veterinarian as soon as possible or call your local poison control center. If available, take the plant to the veterinarian for ease of identification.

A pet-friendly hotel is a hotel that allows guests to have a dog, cat, or other small animal in their rooms. Some pet-friendly hotels do not charge extra for pets. However, many charge either a per stay or per night pet fee. These fees are usually non-refundable. A deposit, on the other hand, will usually be refunded if your pet does no damage. Some hotels are dog-friendly only. Cats are not allowed. Some pet-friendly hotels have a weight limit. Be sure to ask! Virtually all hotels will expel dogs that bark and disturb other guests.

The dog will shed virus in its stool for up to three months after recovery, so clean up all piles of poop immediately and put them in the garbage in a plastic bag. Disinfect all areas, blankets/towels and anywhere the dog has been with 1 part bleach to 30 parts water. Scientifically, this seems to be the most effective dilution used in killing viruses. Be an RPO (Responsible Pet Owner). Keep the dog away from other animals for three months. Notify your neighbors to update their animal’s vaccines for Parvo and Corona.

I focus on prevention and environmental manipulation including cleanliness, good food, proper bedding, a variety of things to eat (fresh and sulfite-free dried fruits and vegetables should be represented in all the colors of the rainbow), and then if necessary, support the immune system with fresh herbs (they like chewing on the stems of fresh herbs such as parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme) and homeopathics to kill those bacteria. . .
