Hairless Cat with Red Lines:

My friends in Russia have a Donskoy (hairless cat) that has these red lines. They are not ring worm. The vets do not know what it is. It is also seen on hairless cats in Canada & France. The vets don’t seem to know what to do about it. I’ll attach pictures. It appears on the underside of the cats and sometimes up the sides.

Flea Control

AN EFFECTIVE FLEA CONTROL PROGRAM MUST INCLUDE ALL ANIMALS IN THE HOUSEHOLD AND THE ENTIRE ENVIRONMENT IN WHICH THE ANIMALS LIVE (INCLUDING YOUR CAR). Many people only use one product at a time, which is NOT effective. You must treat the animal, the house, and the yard all at one time to get this challenge under control.

Feeding Dogs Table Scraps

Fatty scraps are never the best choice. Dogs should get only lean meat scraps. No chicken bones, rib bones, or cooked bones that will splinter and puncture the gut. Raw and cooked vegetables and some raw fruit a few times each week will also keep your dog healthy so she/he will live a long life.

Cheyenne and the Human-Animal Bond

Something had to be done and it was up to me to do it. The next day I sat down with the phone book and methodically called each of the mental health clinics listed in the Yellow Pages. I explained my problem to each of the sympathetic voices that answered in vain. Just when I was giving up hope, one of the voices suddenly exclaimed, “I just read something that might help you! Let me go get the article. . .” I listened as she read. The article described a remarkable study done at a nursing home. All of the patients were under treatment for chronic depression. Yet their attitudes had improved dramatically when they were given responsibility for a dog.
